Parks and nature reserves Parco Nazionale del Gargano The Gargano National Park is a protected natural area established in 1991 and located in the Apulia region, in the extreme north-eastern part, often called "Spur of Italy." The territory covers an area of ??118,144 ha and is located entirely in the Province of Foggia. Part of the park includes the four islands. Here you can observe unique habitat: from the dense and extensive forests to the Mediterranean, from the great karst plateaus to the steep cliffs on the sea. There is also a wide biodiversity of fauna.
