Arazzeria "Scassa"

The “Scassa” tapestry was founded in 1957. It is located in the Charterhouse of Valmanera. Inside it exhibits a wide range of tapestries and a laboratory for the restoration of ancient tapestries. The museum is available to the public. At the gates of Asti monastery built by the Vallombrosan monks and then passed to the Carthusians who inhabited it until the Napoleonic era, abandoned and partly destroyed it was restored and destined to host the Museum. Casa Natale di Vittorio Alfieri

The Palace that dates back to the Middle Ages is recognized as the accommodation of the family of the poet Vittorio Alfieri at the end of the 17th century. The building was transformed into a museum at the end of the twentieth century, where a civic library was built with the contribution of Count Leonetto Ottolenghi. After the Count gave the palace to the Municipality of Asti, two rooms on the main floor were restored on the initiative of the Municipality and the bust of Vittorio Alfieri was placed in the courtyard.

Pinacoteca Civica

The Civic Art Gallery of Asti is located, together with the Museum, in the historic Palazzo Mazzetti, which until 1442 had been a strong house owned by the Asti family of the Turco. Since 1940 the Palace has been the seat of the Civic Art Gallery which includes valuable collections. Among the important works, we must remember the tables of San Martino Alfieri dating back to 1400 and 1500, Michelangelo Pittatore, Giancarlo Aliberti, Guglielmo Caccia, and the section dedicated to Genoese painters from 1600. The property also houses a precious collection of antique fabrics.

Complesso Monumentale di S. Pietro in Consavia

The Monumental Complex of St. Peter in Consavia is a Catholic church in Asti, consisting of four buildings dating from the twelfth century to the fourteenth century. Within the monumental complex, the museum preserves an archaeological section that includes materials from the Roman period that constituted the funeral kit of burials of the I, II and III centuries AD; a section Egyptian comprising wooden sarcophagi with related mummies, canopic vases, fragments of hieroglyphic inscriptions and a paleontological section dedicated to fossils of the recent tertiary.
