Wineries Mauro Vini Srl The company was founded in Roddino Alba in 1895 when Mauro Vittorio emigrated to Argentina wrote to his father Giuseppe to send him 200 barrels a ton one in the wine which he had sold to Santa Fe. This is documented by the correspondence preserved in the original company. About 20 years ago also, Giuseppe Mauro, a descendant of the fifth generation, has recovered old vineyards which produces the old "Nebbiolo of Dronero" (Chatus), grown in Valle Maira already in 1400, producing a wine called "drôné”. The vineyards are located in Dronero and Villar San Costanzo over 600 m. above sea level. Production is limited and the bottles are numbered.
