Chiesa di Maria SS. Assunta

The Mother Church of Cavallino, dedicated to Maria SS. Assunta, was built in 1630 on the remains of a previous construction. The structure is in Baroque style, and is adorned with statues and a remarkable bell tower, with a civic clock attached. Also of great importance is the Sepulchre of the Castromediano, the Baptistery and the Funeral Chapel today dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
