The center of Borgo Valsugana is located on the southern slopes of Mount Ciolino and is crossed by the Brenta river. The bridges that cross the river give the town the pleasant appearance of a thirty city. The tourist area of Valsugana consists of 4 places of primary tourist importance, Levico Terme, & lt; strong> Castello Tesino, Pergine Valsugana as well as Borgo Valsugana. These give form to a qualified tourist offer both in territorial terms and in tourist accommodation facilities.
The town dominates the towers of Castel Telvana, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view over the entire valley. Built perhaps in the early 1900s, the castle was rebuilt after 1385 when it was destroyed by the Scaligeri. The strategic position has made this manor always the subject of harsh disputes and witnesses political changes. The monument is in good condition and open to the public.
It was built in a significant place for archaeology: the discovery of finds from the Roman and Barbarian age signals the ancient attendance of this portion of Valsugana. Castel Telvana, moreover, seems to overlap pre-existing fortified structures of the Roman age. Immersed in the woods and not far from this fortress, the ruins of Castel San Pietro and Castel Alto enhance the charm of these places rich in memory.
