Foro di Augusto

The Forum of Augustus is one of the Imperial Forums of Rome and was built for the will of Augustus. It was located in a rectangular square with arcades next to it. The building was isolated from the popular district of the Suburra by a wall, 33 meters high, in blocks of peperino and gabina stone. In medieval times, the podium was occupied by the church of San Basilio, which is no longer found.
