Tempio di Vesta
The Temple of Vesta was built in the 4th century BC and was part of the “Atrium Vestae” complex at the Roman Forum. Its characteristic is that it has hosted the 'sacred fire' which was the symbol of the Roman State. The fire was kept in the cell surrounded by twenty Corinthian columns. In the inner cavity, the “pignora civitatis “were preserved, namely the objects sacred to the destinies of Rome.
