Bioparco
The Zoological Garden of Rome was founded in 1908 with the task of creating a place of attraction for all visitors for a wonderful wildlife collection. The Zoo was inaugurated in 1911 and, moreover, was built by Carl Hagenbeck who had already opened, in turn, the famous Stellingen Zoo, in Hamburg. In 1935 Raffaele De Vico's enlargement work was completed and the two new areas of the Great Aviary and the Reptilary opened.
