Castello Mina della Scala

The Mina della Scala Castle was built in 1596 at the behest of Ludovico Schizzi of Cremona. The structure was rebuilt and expanded in 1735 after the fire during the attack of the Gallo — Estensi. In the second half of the nineteenth century, the fortress was purchased by the Mina family, and following the marriage between Augusto Mina and Francesca della Scala in 1875, the castle took on its current name.
