Ricetto di Candelo

The Ricetto di Candelo is a fortification built in the late Middle Ages by the inhabitants of this locality. Ownership of the nobles Vialardi di Villanova, then redeemed by the Candelesi, the ricetto had the function of protecting the inhabitants and also their cultivations. The ricetto had a pentagonal plant structure and extended over an area of 13,000 square meters. Today, passing through those environments you can immerse yourself in the ancient peasant environment. Since 2002, the recipe has been part of the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy certified by ANCI.
