Cappella Funebre Borromeo

The chapel was built in the mid-nineteenth century by Balzaretto, Giuseppe, and the brothers Lorenzo and Vincenzo Vela. It was Giovanni D'Adda who ordered its construction, after the death of his wife. The architecture of the building has a ritual and religious character, following the model of a baptistery. The interior of the chapel is well rich in sculptural works and a very careful decoration by the Vela brothers. It is currently open to the public, and you can visit it freely.
