Museo Diocesano d' Arte Sacra

The Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art was established in 1952 in the interior rooms of the sacristy of the Cathedral of Rossano. It collects artistic materials, liturgical and sacred art furnishings collected during the centuries in the surrounding territory. The precious sacred text of the Codex Purpureus is preserved here, placed in a dedicated and reserved room given its great historical importance.
