Museo Provinciale Campano
The Campania Provincial Museum was established in 1869 and opened to the public in 1874. It is headquartered in Palazzo Antignano di Capua. The museum structure is divided into thirty-two exhibition halls where we can admire the world collection of Matres Matutae, testimony of a particular pre-Roman indigenous cult. The Museum also houses several tombstones, stelae and sarcophagi from Roman, Republican and Imperial times.
