“Corte Rocca” dates back to the 16th century, and during its renovations which turned it into a farmhouse, we tried to create a continuity with the spirit of our home, which has been furnished following a country-chic style. All this with the intent of mixing the past with today’s comforts. We used old materials and decided to adopt a photovoltaic solar system together with solar arrays to produce the necessary energy, drawing it from renewable sources.
In order to guarantee the greatest privacy to our guests, we created an independent entrance, so that they can enjoy a nice and cosy extended stay. Every room, which is roomy and comfortable, is furnished in a homely way, with a warm floor made of olive. The heating and air conditioning can be adjusted directly by the guests. Every room has a lcd digital terrestrial TV, free internet connection, a private bathroom with a shower or a tub, hairdryer and courtesy set. The room is cleaned every day. To enjoy a nice rest, we chose sprung bed bases with wood slags together with new generation mattresses. We kindly ask you not to smoke in our rooms.
In Mantova you can visit: Palazzo Ducale and Palazzo Te, Piazza Sordello with its cathedral, Palazzo Bonacolsi, Palazzo Castiglione, Casa di Rigoletto and the internal gardens of Palazzo Ducale, Piazza Broletto with Palazzo del Podestà and Sottoportico dei Lattonai, Piazza Erbe with the majestic Palazzo della Ragione, Torre dell’Orologio and the Romanesque rotonda of S. Lorenzo, wanted by Matilde di Canossa, and Basilica di S. Andrea, the Renaissance masterpiece by Leon Battista Alberti, which holds the relic of the very precious Blood of Christ.
Bed & Breakfast service. The rich buffet breakfast includes: coffee, fruit juices, fresh bread, cookies, home made cakes and jams, yoghurt of a local productor, ham, cheeses, fresh fruits. Breakfast is served in a special room from 7.30 to 9 am during weekdays, and from 8.30 to 10 am on Sundays and holidays, if not differently agreed upon. The following facilities are available for free (upon request) for your children: feed heater, changing table, stroller, high chair, cradle with linen, games area. Check in: from 5.00 to 8.00 pm,, if not differently agreed upon. Check out: within 10.00 am. Bicycles available upon request. Large garden with games for children.
Free COVERED external parking. Shelter for motorbikes. In the breakfast room you will find a micro, a fridge with fresh water, which are free and available anytime. Furthermore, in your room you’ll have the chance to prepare any kind of hot drink, thanks to a kettle and a wide range of instant drinks. On the intermediate floor, you’ll find an area dedicated to reading, with a bookcase and tour guides of the region, besides a child-friendly space equipped with games.
