Agriturismo La Montagnola is located few km and minutes away from the most beautiful towns in
Umbria, on the hills overlooking the Umbrian valley, in front of
Perugia and Assisi, half way between the medieval village of Torgiano and the Etruscan village of Bettona.
The
farmhouse accommodates its guests in three luxury apartments:
Capareccia, La casa della Caccia and Il Poggio.
Here guests will be able to visit the ‘700 villa and the farm production of olive oil.
This is the most remarkable feature of the farmhouse.
The olives are harvested by hand or with the help of a shaker, then washed and pressed within 24 hours. The company has approximately 5000 olive trees and produces an average of 70 tons of oil a year.
The variety of cultivation is prevalent the Moraiolo, with a smaller amount of sweetagogia and leccino.
Guests can participate to the production of the oil and taste it on a slice of warm bread and salt, for a delicious appetizer.
