Treviso, an enchanting Venetian city
The province of Treviso, known for the production of Prosecco
The enchanting Treviso, in Veneto, Northern Italy, is a large and active agricultural market in the region. It is a city full of joy and enchantment and its ancient traditions are highly respected among local families.
The Tarvisium of the Romans, had more popularity in the Lombard era, and under the rule of Charlemagne it became the seat of an important mint Italy. The places to visit that tell in detail the beautiful story of this city are: the center of the city (Piazza dei Signori), Palazzo dei Trecento (XII) century), the Romanesque architecture of the Ioggia dei Cavalieri (1211), the Chapel of the Rectors, the Cathedral, the Church of San Nicolò and the Church of San Francesco.
I also recommend a tour around the Civic Museum (which houses a rich collection of archaeological finds) and the art gallery with works ranging from the twelfth century to the twentieth century. If you love typical local drinks, you can't miss a taste of the excellent grappa and wines produced in the Bottega Distillery, which is localiza in the surroundings of the city. Health to everyone!
