There are many reasons to visit this small beautiful Tuscan city, at the second place in “The most charming places in Europe” chart made by Forbes Magazine. Lucca is a calm and elegant city, with ancient shops and modern boutiques.
In Lucca you can find the ancient historical heritage made by monuments, medieval streets, renaissance palaces and historical houses. Rich in squares among which the beautiful Piazza Ovale, with Lucca’s tastes market still alive. Lucca’s citizens too use to fill their bottles at these fountains, whose water, according to the legend, gave beauty to the ugly women and preserved the beautiful ones.
Visiting the “Manifattura Tabacchi” is, for every visitor of the City, an obliged stop in a trip to Lucca, especially for smokers: this Tobacco’s factory is one of Italy’s oldest ones and still working, and in it you can assist to all the phases of production of cigar from tobacco’s washing until the real cigar’s maturation.
