In 1818 Pietro Monti, an industrialist of the time, transformed the ancient crowd from pannilani into a silk flyer. Used as such until 1934 then purchased by the Abegg family, they used it by twisting. In 1978, the City Council bought the building after a period of degradation. After the restoration, the ancient twisting machine of 1818 was also used. In 1998, the Setificio Monti Civic Museum was inaugurated. Today you can find equipment, tools, documents on the history of the flyer, etc.
