Folgarida is a tourist resort of Dimaro, Trentino-Alto Adige. It is situated at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level in the beautiful Val di Sole in the Brenta Dolomites.
During our stay, we had great sport and fun in one of the most beautiful mountain environments and comprehensive in terms of accommodation in the Alps.

The ski area includes four ski resorts: Folgarida Marilleva Peio and Passo Tonale. The total viable downhill ski resort in more than 200 km, with spacious slopes with artificial snow at different levels of difficulty surrounded by beautiful pine forests. The area counts about 115 ski lifts, while the resort of Folgarida offers alone 80 km of slopes and 25 lifts.
A real paradise for skiers, offering the most varied proposal for the winter holiday, ski slopes prepared from December to April, lifts constantly revised, skating ring, hockey and hiking.

For those who love skiing, it will be hard to find an environment in which to enjoy relaxation and leisure, with shops, cinemas, nightclubs, pizza, entertainment centers, sports palace. Like the best ski resorts in the country has an equally efficient hotel service, combined with a strong culinary tradition mountains.

We used to swim in the lake, there is a very nice beach, where you can rent boats or pedal boats. From the waters we looked at the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. The area is protected by UNESCO. On the lakeside there is also the sports center of the city, you can play tennis or bowling, there is a children's playground, indoor pool, golf course soccer. In winter, many come here for skiing, but the facilities also work in summer, you can also go for nice walks in the area.

If someone is less athletic, they can also spend a very nice holiday, because different wellness hotels are available, or you can ograve; also go to the movies. In the neighboring villages there is an archaeological site, and a bear park, where you can see brown bears in their natural environment. The goodness of the woods gives us the opportunity to collect mushrooms, berries and flowers, always within the allowed limit and acquiring the appropriate permit issued by municipal offices or from the offices of the local Apt. The whole territory of the Municipality of Molveno on the Brenta Group side is inserted inside the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, a protected area with numerous wildlife species, ideal for discovering the pleasure of real walking.

Bolzano is one of the more popular and best destinations where you can spend Christmas vacations. Thanks to the number of events hosted daily, like cultural initiatives, fairs, free concerts, typical markets and much more. All this has made Bolzano one of the best and most attractive towns in Europe for both the young and old people. You will also have the chance to listen and get entertained by popular folklore events, sounds, shows, children entertainment, and music, which make a magical environment around Christmas markets. On the Dolomites, you can part too in a number of other related period events the nativity scenes, which are often handmade: real works of art like the picturesque. Visiting the South, you will have the chance to experience the widespread custom of parades, like the Klocken and the San Nicolò parades. You can also keep fit by participating in races while dressed in a red costume and white beard. You will also get an opportunity to visit the suggestive market starting from the 23rd of November-30th December. Here you will admire and see the seventy wooden houses, that exhibit different products. Furthermore, you will see exhibitions, typical, foods and other events. The exhibitors in the exhibitions coming from South Tyrol, Trentino and other regions of North Italy come with lots of craftmade products like candles, cribs, flower pressed pictures, Christmas decorations and much more. If you have children, they will be able to see Babbo di Natale or Santa Claus, La Befana an old hag, presepi manger scenes, ceramic or wooden. There are also rides and even live animals for the kids to enjoy. Adult’s rides like a tiny train or romantic carriage, which is horse-drawn, can be available. While near Bolzano you will get and an opportunity to visit the famous castles such as Mareccio Castle, Campegno Castle or the Natural Science Museum.
