Campo Squarcia is famous for the chivalric tournament of the Quintana or Quintana carousel which is a medieval historical re-enactment with an equestrian carousel held in Ascoli Piceno. It takes place on the first Sunday of August, on the occasion of the feast of Sant'Emidio, Patron and First Bishop of the Marche city. Since 1997, a second edition of Quintana has also been held, at night, in honor of Our Lady of Peace, on the second Saturday of July. This event is renewed every year.

The Pia Fortress is an ancient building located in the highest area of the city of Ascoli and was rebuilt at the behest of Pope Pius IV in 1560, from which it also took its name. The Museum of the Ligurian Academy of Fine Arts was inaugurated in 1980 by the initiative of Gianfranco Bruno.
