Churches and places of worship Duomo di Bergamo The Cathedral of Bergamo is the main place of Catholic worship in the city. Dedicated to Saint Alexander patron, it is located in the upper city. In front of the facade of the cathedral, on the opposite side of Piazza del Duomo, is the baptistery.
Churches and places of worship Battistero In Piazza del Duomo, in front of the Basilica, stands the Baptistery. Built in 1340, inside the basilica by Giovanni da Campione, it was then married in 1900 at the current headquarters in the center of the square. Octagonal, it has eight fourteenth-century statues depicting the three theological virtues and the four Cardinal Virtues with the addition of an eighth virtue, Patience.
