Churches and places of worship Certosa di San Giacomo Count Giacomo Arcucci of Capri, a secretary to Jeanne I of Anjou, found a spot enclosed by walls in a small south facing coastal valley called Sama or Lama where he laid the charterhouse foundation. It dates back to 1371 and it is believed that it was built on remains of previous sixth Villa of Tiberius and Roman buildings. Today its home to a museum holding a number of large statues from the Roman age. This statues were recovered from the sea floor of Grotta Azzurra cave in 1964.
Churches and places of worship Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo The church is located in Anacapri and a very nice example of baroque style on the island. Though the church is already nice, its mosaic tile floor depicting Adam and Eve from paradise makes it more captivating. The floor was designed by artist Leonardo Chiaiese.
Churches and places of worship Chiesa di S.Anna The church of S. Anna was a parish of Capri until 1595. It was attributed to a dating dating back to the twelfth century. It has very important frescoes and a floor dating back to 1878.
