Castles, palaces and mansions Palazzo dei Priori Built in the late 13th century, is the city's oldest building, born from the merging of existing buildings, unified by an impressive Renaissance facade only in 1500. Inside you find the Picena Section of the Archaeological Museum.
Museums Museo Polare "S. Zavatti" The Silvio Zavatti Polar Museum is one of the most important museums in Italy, the only museum aimed at Italian arctic research. It is placed at the Polar Geographic Institute. It was established in 1969 by Silvio Zavatti, to present the culture of the Arctic peoples. Inside it houses a large collection of Greenland Inuit sculptures and some items by the Eskimo. The Museum has been owned by the Municipality of Fermo since 1993.

Museums Museo Diocesano The Diocesan Museum of Fermo presents a variety of artistic expressions of the great community of the Archdiocese of Fermo, from the early Christian period until 1900. The exhibition, realized in 2004, displays paintings, silverware, furnishings coming from the Cathedral, the churches of Fermo and the Archdiocese. There are three most important rooms: the Silverware Room, the Hall of Sacred Parameters and the Quadreria.
