Travesio - Castles, palaces and mansions Castello di Toppo The Castle of Toppo was built during the Lombard era for reasons of defense. In 1220 the building was purchased by the Ragogna family. Due to a strong earthquake in 1348, the castle was seriously damaged. The double walls are still visible today. Inside there are paintings by the School of Gian Battista Pittoni and a 15th century statue depicting Saint Lucia.
Erto e Casso - Monuments Diga del Vajont The Vajont Dam is located near the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park in the Municipality of Erto. The dam is linked to the history of the tragedy that occurred in the lake causing the deaths of so many people. In memory of these people, the Vajont Museum was built, which has been open to the public since 2007.
Sequals - Castles, palaces and mansions Castello di Solimbergo The Castle of Solimbergo was built in the 7th century. It is a fortified structure with a watchtower. The Castle was used as a home until the 16th century, when it was destroyed. Currently, there are only a few ruins left that can be visited.
Andreis - Museums Museo Civico (Museo dell'Arte e della Civiltà Contadina) The Museum was established in 1981 by the Municipality that collected objects and documents from the citizens of the area. It is a large collection of materials dating back to the 19th century: everyday objects, means of work, typical clothing of the area and numerous other testimonies of Andreis's past. Through the Museum you can retrace the entire history of the city: the most famous crafts, traditions, gastronomy and all aspects of peasant life. The building is open to the public.
Aviano - Castles, palaces and mansions Castello di Aviano The Castle of Aviano dates back to the 10th century and belongs to the Middle Ages. It is located in the municipality of Aviano, in the province of Pordenone. The castle bears the name of the town of Aviano. In 967 it was donated by the Emperor Ottone of Saxony to the patriarch of Aquileia. The castle also includes in its territory the Church of Santa Maria and Giuliana, built in 1589. It is currently open to the public.
