Castles, palaces and mansions Castello Imperiali Imperiali Castle was built in 1450 at the behest of Giovanni Antonio del Balzo Orsini. The intent was to offer the city a fortress that could support any enemy siege. The Castle is named after the feudal lords who bought it in 1572 and made it a stately residence.
