Bernalda - Archaeological Sites Metaponto - Tempio Greco The Temple of Metaponto dates back to the 6th century BC. It was built by the Greeks as a sign of adoration of the Goddess Hera. Today, only the side columns remain along with many other buildings in the archaeological area. The finds found are kept in the National Archaeological Museum of Metaponto.
Matera - Archaeological Sites Ipogei Located under the main square of the city and brought to light a few years ago, a number of underground rooms containing also an old tank, called the long Palombaro, and a tower making part of the walls near the Castello Tramontano.
