Macerata - Museums

Collezione del '900 italiano a Palazzo Ricci

Palazzo Ricci, one of the most important in Macerata, today restored to its former glory, is home to the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation of the Province of Macerata. The Palace hosts about 350 works including painting and sculpture, of the most significant Italian artists of the century, acquired in more than twenty years by the Banking Institute with the precise intent of setting up a collection which is now configured as one of the most complete collections of contemporary art in Italy. In the beautiful dungeons, periodically, exhibitions of high cultural level are held.

Museo Archeologico Nazionale delle Marche

The Museum is a synthesis of historical and archaeological knowledge of the Marche region, from prehistory to the threshold of Romanization, only documented by finds from the excavation process. Used as a museum since 1978 it works as a museum, it was built in the mid-1500s and initially known as Palazzo Ferretti. In this museum we find a great archaeological heritage, documentation of the civilizations that followed in the entire Marche region from the Paleolithic to the High Middle Ages, such as bronze vases and shields, vases figurative penthouses, silver, etc. On the ground floor there are elements of the Roman section.

Pinacoteca Civica

The Civic Art Gallery is located inside Palazzo del Municipio or Palazzo Arringo. It is located on the first and second floor. It was officially known in 1861 and is one of the most important in the area. It currently houses a large collection of works with a hundred paintings, sculptures, and a collection of ancient art. The collection was further enriched in 1909 with 12,000. All the furniture in the room is very nice with furniture from the period. Admission to the Art Gallery is free of charge.

Museo Civico Archeologico e Paleontologico

The Civic Archaeological and Paleontological Museum is located in the Palazzo del Podestà, which dates back to the fourteenth century. The finds are arranged in eight rooms, each divided by historical period. All materials trace the historical settlements of the eastern Montefeltro area. Each object has a reference card, which provides all the information about it. In addition, from the building where the museum is located, you can enjoy a wonderful view.

Museo Civico e Pinacoteca del Palazzo Malatestiano

The Civic Museum and the Art Gallery, located in the Malatesta Palace, were built in 1898. Inside there is a large collection of historical testimonies of the evolution of the city, starting from the prehistoric period. Beyond the collections of paintings and sculptures, you can admire: the collection of coins, sets, red ceramics and numerous other objects and documents of ancient origins. The museum is open to all interested parties.

Pesaro - Museums

Museo Archeologico Oliveriano

In 1756, the Pesaro community was donated a very rich collection of ancient objects by Hannibal of the Abbati Olivieri. The museum was established in 1787 when Olivieri decided to give back 20,000 volumes and a second collection of archaeological and numismatic material of great value. Since 1793, the Museum and the Library have been managed by the Oliveriana Foundation. After World War II, the museum was rearranged in three rooms and was opened to the public in 1967.

Musei Civici

The Civic Museums of Pesaro are divided into two exhibition sections: the Art Gallery and the Museum of Ceramics. The art gallery exhibits works from the territory, especially from the churches and private collections of the city, such as different paintings and drawings. Among them, the best known is the “Altarpiece of Pesaro” by Giovanni Bellini from the Venetian Renaissance period. The other section, on the other hand, exhibits ceramics, furnishings and sculptures of the fifteenth century -eighteenth century. The prestigious collection of Renaissance majolica is to be mentioned in this section.

Civitanova Marche - Museums

Galleria d'Arte Moderna "M. Moretti"

The Gallery of Modern Art “M. Moretti” was born from the donation of collections and prints by Luciano Moretti to the Municipality of Civitanova Marche with the intent of setting up the Gallery of Modern Art dedicated to his son prematurely disappeared. The collection was recently moved to the native house of Annibal Caro and is composed of engravings and prints by artists such as Leonardo Castellani, Nunzio Gulino and others.

Pollenza - Museums

Museo Civico di Palazzo Cento

The Civic Museum of Palazzo Cento is located inside the homonymous Palace, built in the 16th century. You can admire the 6th — 9th century BC tombs coming from the necropolis of Moie di Pollenza. To enrich the Museum there are also some Roman finds dating back to the first century BC, among which there is a splendid floor with a painted wild boar hunt scene. The route is completed by some ceramics from the Porta del Colle factory, dating back to the 16th century.

Montecarotto - Museums

Museo della Mail Art

The museum was founded in 1984, and had several locations, which were then abandoned. It was reopened in 2006 due to the Verdicchio Festival of Montecarotto, which is held once a year. In the gallery we find a collection of Mail Art, created by artists such as Vittorio Baccelli, Walter Pennacchi, Emilio Morandi, Anna Boschi and many others. It was Professor Bugatti who collected all these wonderful works over the years and then donated them to the museum.

Galleria d'Arte Contemporanea Osvaldo Licini

The Museum of the Ligurian Academy of Fine Arts was inaugurated in 1980 by the initiative of Gianfranco Bruno. The most substantial collection is the material found from the nineteenth century until the middle of the twentieth century, at the request of the Marquis Marcello Durazzo. Inside there are several paintings by famous artists such as Domenico Piola and Ansaldo and there are also artistic productions such as those of Rayper and Luxoro.

The Municipal Art Gallery or the so-called Francesco Podesta Pinacoteca is located inside Palazzo Bosdari. Palazzo Bosdari dates back to 1973, and is one of the most important in the area. Currently it houses a large collection of works with a hundred paintings by artists such as Francesco Podesti, Carlo Camerino, Archangel of Cola and numerous artists of the past centuries. Another part of the Art Gallery hosts modern art with works by Cagli, Campigli, Cassinari, and other important contemporary artists. Admission to the Art Gallery is free of charge.

Apiro - Museums

Raccolta di Sant'Urbano

The Collection of Sant'Urbano is located within the homonymous Church, a structure of the eleventh century. It presents a collection of works of art of a religious nature, dating from the '500 onwards: paintings, vestments, furnishings and numerous other documents of great historical and cultural importance. They are mainly from gifts from Giacomo Baldini and other characters from the city who owned this type of materials. The exhibition is open to the public.

Ripatransone - Museums

Pinacoteca Civica e Gipsoteca "U. Gera"

The Civic Art Gallery and the Gipsoteca “U. Gera” are set up in the interior rooms of the Palazzo Bonomi Gera in Ripatransone. The route consists of the Hall of Frescoes, located on the ground floor, the Gallery of Portraits and the Crivelli Room, dedicated to the highly famous painter Vittore Crivelli, whose canvas is included” Madonna and Child Enthroned”. The Gipsoteca is dedicated to the donor of the Ugo Gera Palace and its most significant works including some statues of remarkable beauty.

Pesaro - Museums

Scalone Vanvitelliano

The Vanvitellian staircase represents what has remained from the ancient monastery of the Benedictine. The building was renovated in 1998 and is in good condition, following the various structural changes that occurred over the years. The staircase is built in Baroque style with a rectangular shape, and with its 3 floors, it has a particular scenographic effect of strong verticality. The construction hosts several exhibitions to support the church of Mary Magdalene.

Sala "A. De Carolis"

The Adolfo De Carolis Museum houses a collection of 100 woodwood belonging to the De Carolis family. The well-known artist, Adolfo De Carolis was an important painter and engraver of the Italian scene between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The important collection was donated to the Museum of San Francesco and to the Community of Montefiore dell'Aso on 19 March 2011. The purpose of the foundation of the museum was to remember and enhance the works of the artist.
