Museo Navale Internazionale del Ponente Ligure

The International Naval Museum of Western Liguria is located in the municipality of Imperia. The Museum is based at the Hydrographic Institute and was established in 1980 by Commander Flavio Serafini. The Museum is divided into 14 rooms and has an area of 700 square meters. Inside it houses a large collection of objects, including professional tools and old tools used in the past.

Pinacoteca Civica

The Civic Art Gallery of Savona is located in Palazzo Gavotti. The latter was built in the second half of the 16th century on pre-existing medieval structures and modified in the nineteenth century. The museum, considered among the most important in Liguria, presents a rich collection of paintings, sculptures and ceramics, among these of the Renaissance masterpieces known all over the world. Since 2010, one of the rooms of the art gallery hosts a particular collection of icons dedicated to the “Grand Mother of the Three Hands” collected by Professor Renzo Mantero.

Museo Tecnico Navale

The Technical Naval Museum has very ancient origins and represents the most important of Italian naval museums. Initially, it was positioned at the mechanical workshops inside the military plant, later it was placed next to the main gateway to the Military Arsenal. The Palazzo Reale Gallery is located inside the Royal Palace of Genoa, built between 1618 and 1620 by the powerful Balbi family. Quadreria del Seminario Vescovile

The Framework of the Episcopal Seminary is a collection that includes about 100 works dating from the 15th to the 20th century, of which also sculptural presences. It is a rich collection of furnishings and paintings arranged along the corridors and in some rooms of the Seminary. The Quadreria can be visited only by reservation. The Framework of the Episcopal Seminary is a museum in which paintings, sculptures and furnishings are exhibited. All this heritage is the result of donations, especially the voluminous one by Agostino Cortese. Among the most important paintings present are a 15th-century polyptych and a Holy Family attributed to Van Dyck. However, there are other works, such as those by Gio Battista Carlone, Gioacchino Assereto and del Grechetto.

The Museum of the Seal offers visitors the most complete collection that has ever been gathered. The “David Beghè” Art Gallery is located inside the Doria Malaspina castle in Calice. The museum was established on 7 July 1992 to support the works of art by the great painter David Beghe. 28 oil works are exhibited, while, as far as its frescoes are concerned, the largest part were photographed and then exhibited.

The Museum is located in the second floor of the Palazzo Borea d'Olmo, a Baroque building. It consists of three sections: the archaeological, historical section and the Art Gallery. Quadreria della Società Economica

The Economic Society Quadreria is based on the second floor of the building of the homonymous society located in Chiavari. The exhibition hall collects about two hundred works including sculptures, drawings and paintings dated from the end of the fifteenth century to the present day. There are also works by Chiavari artists and from the Flemish school such as Frans Fracken II and the school of Quentin Metsys with his work 'Lamentation of Christ'.

The Civic Gallery of Palazzo Rocca is located in the interior rooms of Palazzo Rocca di Chiavari. The Communitas Diani Civic Museum was opened to the public in 1978 at the Palazzo del Parco. The exhibition includes paleontological materials found in the excavations carried out in San Bartolomeo al Mare. Among the finds stands out a Roman ship coming from Spain, which shipwrecked, in the Claudian-Neronian age, in the Gulf of Diana.

Museo delle Marionette

The Puppet Museum was established in 1996 in the interior rooms of Palazzo Balbi. The core of the collections is part of the collection of Angelo Cenderelli, creator and curator of the famous puppet theater of Campomorone. The museum's collection includes about seventy puppets built with wood and papier-mache, while the scenographic part consists of one hundred and thirty shaped elements.

Museo della Croce Rossa Italiana

The Museum of the Italian Red Cross was founded in 1981, within the premises of the C.R.I headquarters in Camporone. The exhibition is divided into eleven rooms where objects, windows and vintage photos are exhibited that saw the history of the Italian Red Cross during the two World Wars. You can therefore admire about five hundred carefully described and catalogued objects that tell the war period and the story of the missing soldiers.

The museum was built between 1460 and 1490 by Gasperino da Lancia and Filippo da Carlono, in Piazza Beato Cristoforo in Taggia. Inside we find pictorial works by different artists, among them 'the adoration of the Magi' by Parmigianino. Other important painters are Ludovico Brea, Giovanni Canavesio, Giovanni Battista Trotti and several artists of the time.
