Strada in Chianti, a peaceful medieval village that is part of Greve, which is a town in Italy’s Tuscany region, provides several interesting attractions.
Normally, it has a cool summer season. Though its winter period is milder compared to other areas in the province of Florence or Provincia di Firenze in Italian, nevertheless, it is cold. So visiting Strada in Chianti during summer, spring and autumn seasons is a good idea.
One of its key attractions is the San Cristoforo Church, which is dedicated to St. Christopher and depicts remnants of Romanesque architecture. Its lovely crucifix is made from olive wood and fashioned by the popular fifteenth century painter, Neri di Bicci.
For a taste of the world class Chianti wine and great Tuscan cuisine, visit Ristorante da Padellina. To purchase souvenirs, enjoy great Italian music and join in the fun, visit Strada in Chianti during the third Sunday of September when an annual fair is held.
