Trento - Churches and places of worship Badia di San Lorenzo The abbey of S. Lorenzo di Trento was built by Benedictine monks between 1166 and 1183, and is one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture in the city. The structure has often been the subject of events that damaged its construction, ultimately the bombings of the Allies in the 20th century. It was restored in 1955. Today it is a place of high spirituality, charity and communion among the inhabitants of the area.
Trento - Churches and places of worship Cattedrale di San Vigilio The church of San Vigilio is the cathedral of Trento. Built in the thirteenth century on the area where it was originally an ancient basilica, dedicated to San Vigilio, patron saint of the city, from which takes its name.
La Valle - Churches and places of worship Chiesetta di Santa Barbara Symbol of The Valley, this church was built in 1490 in a prime position to dominate the surrounding valleys, with a great view of all the beautiful peaks of the Dolomites . On the outside wall there is a painting representing the crucifixion.
Corvara - Churches and places of worship Parrocchia di Colfosco The Gothic Church of Colfosco or parish church of San Virgilio, is located along the road leading to the Gardena Pass. This one enjoys an amazing view. The structure was first mentioned in 1419. Inside there is a beautiful altar from the 19th century.
Bolzano - Churches and places of worship Duomo The Cathedral dedicated to Maria Assunta is a Gothic/Romanesque building built in 1300. It was designed by architects Martin and Peter Schiche who realized the marble cladding and the wine door. The bell tower decorated with an openwork cusp dates back to 1519.
Brunico - Churches and places of worship Convento delle Orsoline The Ursuline Convent, built at the beginning of the fifteenth century, in Gothic style, is located near the Gate of the Ursulines, through which you access the city. In the past, it was home to customs where the goods were weighed and stored. The tower that overlooks this door is decorated with different images and coats of arms, the most important of which, probably the work of the painter Hans da Brunico, was partially damaged during the enlargement works of the arch of the door in 1758. The Ursuline Crypt is the oldest part of the whole convent building, and dates back to approx. 1410.
Cembra Lisignago - Churches and places of worship Chiesa di San Pietro In typical Gothic architecture, the church of St. Peter preserves several frescoes among which the Last Judgment. The building has a single nave, flanked by a medieval bell tower of late Romanesque shape with pyramidal cusp.
Madonna di Campiglio - Churches and places of worship Chiesetta di Santa Maria Antica The Church of Santa Maria Antica is a small chapel built in the twelfth century and characterized by a simple facade and a Gothic bell tower. Inside are preserved works of high quality such as the ancient Crucifix, dating back to the twelfth century, and the triptych of the Madonna with Child and Saints.
Corvara - Churches and places of worship Chiesa di Santa Caterina Dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria, the old Church of Corvara was built in the second half of the fifteenth century, in Gothic style, however, without the typical decorations of the churches made in this style. The building contains some works by prestigious local artists, among them the triptych of the altar by Ruprecht Potsch, in which it is depicted precisely Saint Catherine.
San Giovanni di Fassa - Churches and places of worship Chiesa di S. Giovanni The Church of San Giovanni is a Gothic building dating back to 1400 located in the center of the landscape. Once upon a time it was the meeting point for all the faithful of the community during baptisms and religious events.
Commezzadura - Churches and places of worship Sant'Agata It dates back to the late 1400s and has an asymmetric plan, announced with a great St Christopher frescoed in 1495. Simone Baschènis painted in fresh biblical figures and the story of St. Agatha, of great value are also the three altars and statues.
Trento - Churches and places of worship Chiesa di Sant'Anna The Church of Saint Anne was erected in the late fifteenth century. On the portal there is the emblem of the Uldaric Vicar of Lichtenstein. The structure has elements of the late Gothic, combined with the Renaissance ones, the result of various renovations over the years. The interior was restored during the 90s, and during this restoration various architectural and decorative details never discovered before were detected were taken over.

Ala - Churches and places of worship Chiesetta S. Pietro in Bosco The Church of San Pietro in Bosco is a Roman church that is located a few kilometers from Ala. The building dates back to the 6th century and has a tall bell tower with cusps in Veronese terracotta and Romanesque mullioned windows. The story tells that in this little church Teodolinda, daughter of the Duke of Bavaria Garibaldo, met his future spouse Autari in 589. Inside the church there are some frescoes such as the Christ in Majesty and Saint George who kills the dragon.
Bolzano - Churches and places of worship Vecchia Parrocchiale di Gries The Old Parish Church of Gries dates back to the twelfth century and is dedicated to the Virgin. The current Gothic structure is the result of restorations over the years. Inside there are numerous objects and documents of great historical and cultural importance throughout the area: the woody altar made by Michael Sacher, the Roman crucifix and the ancient budgets discovered in 2008 .
Mezzocorona - Churches and places of worship Castello San Gottardo Diroccato The Castle of St. Gotthard was built in 1181. The building was used as a military fortification until 1525. In 1735 it was restored and used by pilgrims to celebrate St. Gotthard. Currently, the front door where the dragon coat of arms is visible in the castle.
Segonzano - Churches and places of worship Madonna dell'aiuto Our Lady of Help, a beautiful painting, is housed inside the homonymous Sanctuary, in the middle of a forest in Segonzano. This is a copy of Mariahilf's famous painting, which copy was wanted and brought by Baron Francesco Ferdinando. The painting is admired by many pilgrims who arrived on the road, to pray and make offers.
