Bernalda - Museums Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Metaponto The National Archaeological Museum of Metaponto exposes to the public objects that date from the prehistoric age to the Bronze Age. Inside there are funeral items, vases and ceramics. The Museum is open to the public and guided tours are also organized.
Bernalda - Archaeological Sites Metaponto - Tempio Greco The Temple of Metaponto dates back to the 6th century BC. It was built by the Greeks as a sign of adoration of the Goddess Hera. Today, only the side columns remain along with many other buildings in the archaeological area. The finds found are kept in the National Archaeological Museum of Metaponto.
Valsinni - Castles, palaces and mansions Castello di Isabella Morra The Castle of Valsinni took this name in memory of the great poet Isabella Morra, who lived all the years of her life in the castle. She was killed when she was only 25 years old, by her brothers because she was in love with Baron Diego Sandoval de Castro. Since 1921, the building moved to the Rinaldi family and today it is in excellent conditions of preservation.

It has a linear and straight structure that develops above all for a long time. It is located in a beautiful square, very large, not surrounded by other buildings. Scanzano Jonico - Walls, towers and gates Torre della Scanzano Jonico The Torre della Scanzana was built in the 16th century by the Spanish viceroy for reasons of defense. The building is also known as Torre del Faro because for a period of time it was used as a lighthouse for fishermen.
