Lighthouse of Genova The first Genovese lighthouse, a magnificent symbol of the city of Genoa, dates back to 1128, and it is on the hill San Begnini. It is believed that in 1449 it was been guarded by Antonio Colombo, uncle of Christopher Columbus.
