Beaches

Sistiana Bay Those who enjoy the calm sea and no waves, in addition to having the opportunity to admire a beautiful landscape, I suggest a visit to the lovely Sistiana Bay in Duino-Aurisina.

Castles, palaces and mansions

Old and New Castle in Duino Castelvecchio was built on an outcrop overlooking the sea in the tenth century, being later replaced by New Castle in the sixteenth century. Nice view!

Fisherman's Village In the beautiful Fisherman's Village, in Duino, there is an interesting area which houses one of the most important paleontological sites of dinosaur remains in Italy.

War bunker There is nearby the Castle of Duino a bunker that was used during the Second World War. A place that remembers and tells a sad piece of world history.

Mithraeum of Duino Interesting natural cave where once the Roman god Mithras was worshipped, it is located near the Bocche of Timavo. Well worth visiting, and who knows, even make the ancient God an offer!
