Ostuni città bianca

Landed on this small island in the middle of the seventh century BC, the Cumani, who founded the organized town of Partenope.
Under the imposing castle you can admire the village with a marina, surrounded by houses and restaurants. A very nice street with great views of the gulf is uniting the island with Via Partenope.

The name of the castle is linked to an ancient medieval legend according to which, the latin poet Virgilio would hide a magic egg inside a cage.
That egg that is the luck of Castel dell 'Ovo, again according to legend, is still preserved and kept secret in the castle.
The popular belief that as long as you keep the egg intact, the city and the castle will be protected.

Today, the castle can be visited and the visit can make a walk of rare beauty to enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. Do not miss visiting the castle in the hall of columns and towers.
