Sauris is the highest mountain community in the Region Friaul Julish Venetia. The settlement dates back to the 13th century. For explorations of the surrounding area now also environmentally-friendly electric vehicles are available for our guests. Winter is a superb season in Sauris with its beautiful skiing area, cross-country skiing tracks and winter hiking tracks.

Sauris lies directly on the celebrated Via Alpina hiking route - the so-called “Yellow Route”. This Yellow Route leads the hiker up to heights of 3000 m, from the Adriatic coast to the high Alpine pastures of the Allgäu. A caleidoscope of different cultures and nature in its pristine state can be encountered here in a glorious experience.
