Hotel La Gioconda welcomes guests to Florence and to its beautiful historical center full of artistic buildings. Its particular and refined environment recalls the story from which the hotel gets its name and that made it celebrated a century ago. Infact in 1913 the masterpiece pictured by Leonardo da Vinci and stolen from the Louvre museum, La Gioconda, was retrieved in the famous room n.20.
The hotel was originally called "Hotel Tripoli", but after the aforementioned episode, it took on the name of the famous painting. Today room n.20, the so-called “Della Gioconda”, is a double room, with natural colors, even though you can still feel that sense of adventure. The environment of the room closely resembles its old style and, of course, almost always, the guests of the hotel have the wish to spend at least one night here, captured by the charm of the episode of a century ago.
