Hotel degli Orafi - Room with a view
Hotel degli Orafi is set in a stunning location, in the city centre of Florence, next to the River Arno and just a few steps away from the famous Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery.
This magnificent 4-star luxury hotel is located in an ancient Florentine building dating back to the 13th century; it has, infact, been created out of an ex-augustine convent of which preserves part of the medieval tower. Today the tower is partly restored and you can enjoy the original frescoes of the XII century in the modern library.
Beautiful ambiances, made up of precious period furnishings and a terrace overviewing Ponte Vecchio, will charm even the most exigent guest of the hotel.
A note: James Ivory, the winner of three Oscars in 1985, filmed here some of the most famous scenes of the movie “Room with a view”, as a witness of the enchanting beauty of the place.
