Genoa
The most charming viewpoint of the city to admire the old town, the sea and surrounding hills is the Spianata Castelletto and immediately it comes the thought that perhaps Genoa is one of the few seaside towns where the industrial port is inserted without breaking in the skyline where cranes seem to disguise large seabirds.
The historic center with narrow streets and the Porto Antico are the areas to be visited on foot wandering through alleyways in search of shops, churches, palaces.
Well worth a visit: Via Garibaldi with its noble palaces Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Rollo, Palazzo Bianco, Palazzo Ducale, Porta dei Vacca that marks the entrance to the Via del Campo, Palazzo Ducale always exhibits interesting, Cattedrale di San Lorenzo and the port going to the Aquarium of the Biosphere and the Panoramic lift that allows you an unusual view of the city from the sea.
